AppleWorks and my laserprinter...HELP!

I use appleworks 4.0 and have just purchased an Epson laser printer that 
emulates a HP LaserJet III.  I can use the supplied DeskJet driver with 
acceptable results -- except that sometimes I get extra lines after a 
line that extends to the margin.  If that could be fixed I'd greatly 
appreciate it...

But my main question is how to access the other built in fonts.  The 
default font is wonderful, but there is another one built into the 
printer that I'd like to use.  I've tried using 'Special Codes,' but 
either that is the wrong method, or I'm sending the wrong commands in the 
wrong order.

Help or pointers would be appreciated!!!
