Re: Faxination...Is it worth it?
In a previous article, bduhreen@freenet.calgary.ab.ca ("Brian D. Uhreen") says:

Based on zero personal experience with Faxination, but having read most of
the reports on the network, I would answer with a resounding "WAIT!". It
almost seems like a number of people paid an early fee of $49 to become
beta testers for Vitesse. I'm sure they didn't think that when they placed
their orders, however. The risk at this point, depending on the customer
base actually involved, is that Vitesse will decide it must abandon the
Faxination project if and when it becomes unprofitable to continue attempting
to fix it.

The original Quickie did not restrict access to the slot. The software
recognized the location of the card. I successfully ran my Quickie in
slot 2 as well as having a modem use the same "port". This did not
require visiting the control panel. However, I sold my Quickie after it
became apparent that it was little more than a toy. Faxination may change
that, but it remains to be proven.
