Sider troubles
I have two half-height 10MB Sider hard drives and one controller ($10
for the whole shebang, i couldn't refuse). Problem is, there were no
docs included and minimal software installed on them (DOS 3.3 based
utilities, rather obnoxious little buggers). Anyway, since purchasing
them both of the power supplies have died. Now I've decided I want to
mount them both in the same (custom) case, running off a "borrowed" PC
power supply. Power supply is fine, la de da.
I've got them both partitioned how I like, but I can't get ProDOS to
recgonize that i've got two hard drives attached. Obviously a patch of
some type is necessary.
I'd really REALLY like to be able to use both drives at once, and I'm
not afraid to program... so if anyone could perhaps pass along some
information on the firmware on the interface card (like how one chooses
to use the second drive; i believe it should be something passed in the
low nybble of the unit number, but.... i'm not -THAT- brave) i should
be much happy.
thanks..
