I figured this out the hard way...
POWER: only ground and +12v need be supplied, why the power supply sends
a -12v also is beyond me - my hacked together 2c works fine off just 12
volts. I mounted a speaker-strip to the side of the case, and connected
the red (positive) terminal to the topmost pin coming out of the power
switch, and the black (negetive) terminal to a wire wrapped under the
screw holding the lid of a metal box immiadetly behind the keyboard and
to the left side of the case (standard grounding technique) (as I said
before, this 2c is hacked together from a 2c sans working drive and power
supply, a unidisk stripped of its case, and some other crap. I call it
the road apple cause I can power it with a car)
Serial Port (determined the hard way with an RS232 tester)
is a 5-pin plug. Ground is the bottom plug in the center. Immiadetly to
the left and right are RS and SD (not sure which way) and, on the same
sides but at the edges, DTR and CTS. So basically, the middle of the plug
is ground, and one side is send, the other recieve. I made my own cable
too but didnt write down the pinouts, sorry, but you could figger it out.
If you screw the poodle, buy a null-modem and hey, the sides are
effectively swapped and your set. Null modems are sold at radio shack for
like $10 or so.
