I am using the linelink 144e too.  I have gotten it to FAX out but nothing to
receive.  What exactly happens with your process?  For me the send works most
of the time.  If I set RECEIVE a fax it crashes into monitor after a short
time.  I have a ROM 3 now, I haven't messed with the ROM 1 in a bit.
