        I've performed the two modifications to _both_ my DuoDisk 5.25
drives, it appears to be a safe proceedure. Both my DuoDisks are still
functioning and work on flawlessly on my IIe's and IIgs's.

        One note though: The DuoDisk won't work from my ROM 3 IIgs,
although just a moment ago I tried it on my ROM 01 and it works fine.
I guess the differences in smartport firmware on the ROM 3 make it
incompatible. Have any ROM 3 users out there managed to get the
DuoDisk to work on their systems? I doubt the modification is to
blame, otherwise it would not have worked on my ROM 01 either.
