Drive problems... :(

OK, here's my problem(s): I own a RAMFactor (w/ Battery backup, although 
that died years ago!), and when I boot, I'm always getting a "Disk not 
recognized by GS/OS. It was working fine, but all of a sudden, it's DEAD. 
I can resurrect it, but it quickly dies again. NOTE: I am still supplying 
power to the RAMFactor with the RAMCharger, so it's not that the drive is 
losing power when I power down.
 
OK, now I know that people are going to tell me that I should use the 
software that came with the RAMFactor to check out the memory and such. 
This would be a GREAT idea. Unfortunately, when I tried to do just that, 
it appears that my 5.25" disk drive (which I haven't used in about 6 
months), no longer recognizes any disks. I'm not sure what the problem is 
there, although I've tried making sure all connections are tight. I'm 
using the 5.25" drive that came with the machine, if that helps at all. 
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!
