Nathan is right; what I was describing ISN'T the standard IIgs keyboard,
it's the various ADB keyboards I was looking at yesterday. The keyboard
on my desk, which I am sticking with for the time being (thanks to all the
garbage I was describing yesterday) *is*, in fact, a genuine IIgs
keyboard, with all the keys in the right place, but with the flat, clicky
'//c-like' feel to it. The only layout difference between this keyboard
and the ][e is...
o open-apple is wider (no power light)
o 'option' is where backquote should be
o backslash is where closed-apple should be
o upper portion of RETURN is where the backslash should be
o this keyboard has a numeric keypad
And given how much I use the affected keys (I don't use MS-DOS on my GS,
so the use of those keys is almost nil), that difference is insignificant.
And it's kinda nice to have a keypad. If this were angled a bit more and
sculpted a little better, it would be better than the ][e keyboard.

(seeming a bit anal-retentive about my keyboard, no?!)
