        Translation:

        The external 5.25" drive also works on an Apple II, it just has a
different connecter.  Newer controller cards for the II also have the same
DB-19 connecter.
        If you need a used, non-original drive, I have a spare one.


        ...and Dan sez...

        the adapter from a Disk II-style connecter (20-pin header) to the
newer style (DB-19) is fairly common, though it seems to go the other way
more often (i.e., connecting an old drive to a //c or such).
