partially dead //e keyboard

I recently picked up a //e.  Everything works fine except the 'D' key.  I
assume that since all the other keys work, there's some sort of contact
problem on the grid under the keyboard, or perhaps a broken trace on the
circuit board of the keyboard.

I took the keyboard unit out of the case.  But it doesn't seem like
there's any way to open up the keyboard unit itself; it's soldered
together.  Is there a way to clean the contacts and check things out,
or do I need a new keyboard?
