I have had Beatbox crash only once, and I have AppleTalk on. It
appears to me to be a very stable program (w/great graphics!).
Have you taken a look at Ian Schmidt's "ModZap v00.90b3" or
"soniqTracker v0.63"? If you use GNO/ME (which you really should!)
have you tried "shellplay"? I believe that all of these are
available from ftp.cco.caltech.edu.
Oh, by the way, I sent a mini-review of most all the major mod
players for the Apple IIGS to the keepers of the
alt.binaries.sounds.mods FAQ around November of '94 and still
haven't seen it in their FAQ
(http://www.grfn.org/~zaphod/absm-faq/index.html) yet.
