AW3/UM3.1 task file problem

I had a problem crop up recently that has never happened before (at least 
not to me).
 
I'm using a ROM 1 GS with a RamFast and 4 megs of RAM.
 
I have a task file set up do a specific task in AppleWorks (3.0, with UM
3.1).  Now, for some reason when I launch the task file I get a message
saying "Unable to find or start Ultra.System.  Press RETURN to continue"
Pressing return just takes me back to the finder.  I can start
Ultra.System just fine directly (double-clicking, etc.).  But none of my
task files can start it now.  Any ideas?
