Re: Rocket Chip VS Zip Chip

I have been using an 8 MHz Zip Chip in my Rev. 7 II+ for many years now
without a problem (except having to turn of DMA when using my CP/M card).
That one piece of hardware breathed years of new life into my aging II+.
I was impressed again when I added an Apple SCSI card over a year ago and
found I could run that slot in "fast" mode, and it does make a noticeable
difference!

My only complaint is that when I wrote and asked for a revised reference
for setting speed modes in the 8 MHz version I never got a reply. At
least my copy of the delivered documentation and support software was still
for the 4 MHz model...
