As you noted - not terminating the last device in your SCSI chain causes
problems.  Some devices have internal terminators, while some require an
external terminator (available at a computer store) that plugs into the
unused connector port on the device.

Since we're on the topic, I have a problem.  I have a 292Mb HD that I
would like to format and use on a //gs.  I currently have a ROM 1 with a
hi-speed SCSI card.  The software I have for this purpose is the SCSI HD
Utilities V0.98 by Craig Peterson I believe, which doesn't allow me to
have more than 7 partitions, which means I only get about 229Mb out of
the drive.  Can someone tell me how I can format the drive and get ALL
of the space usable?

I tried to format the drive on a Mac SE, but it refused to acknowledge
that it existed, and I have no clue why.  When connected on my //e or
//gs with another HD I had no trouble.  Can someone help?
