This is the only part of your post with which I disagree. I
really loved my Laser. The major reason I went to IBM,
however, was because my keyboard was shot.
I think the GS could do very well if marketed correctly, and
fitted with the following:
(a) A drive which reads/writes MS-DOS and Mac disks.
(b) Expanded video support (JPG, MPG hardware decoding would
be excellent.)
(c) Builtin IDE controller/included ~80M drive.
I, for one, use my IBM mainly for telecommunicating and
viewing graphics files. I'm sure many others have the
same needs, and would welcome a low-cost alternative to
the wildly over-performing PCs out there.
