Folks-
It took a lot of pleading to get this alpha version released, so
please take the time to read these notes:
- Beatbox is a totally new IIGS MOD/MED player. Beatbox (alpha) is
Freeware, but copyrighted (c) 1994-95 by Alvin Tan & Brian Ballweber.
Neither I, Nathan Mates, nor any other groups have any claim to it.
- This is an ALPHA version. This means that it is way earlier than
beta, and not everything is done or stable. In particular: ROM 3
owners: your cursor will leave drops all over the screen. It's ugly,
but the program will still work. Also, not all of the 'buttons'
on the screen work. They're for functions that'll be programmed
sooner or later.
- Cool tip: When selecting the 'Graphical Viewers...' menu item,
if you hold down the option key, you will get a list of available
viewers.
- If you like this software and would like to see more work done on
it, PLEASE send email to the two authors:
ballweb@csos.orst.edu
corey@rush.cc.edu
These are internet email addresses; most systems can send email
to the internet by now. The authors would like to judge the support
and interest in their program.
I've uploaded this to comp.binaries.apple2, ftp.cco.caltech.edu,
grind.isca.uiowa.edu, and ftp.io.org. Could someone please upload this
to genie and other distribution points?
