Hmmm, what I was thinking of was a Fast Math toolset that included
the basic math and trig functions that could be used along with
languages like Orca Pascal, C, and M. The idea would be not to try
to replace existing SANE calls with the new toolset, but give them
their own calls. Of course the new toolset would have to be
distributed with any software that used it akin to Clays.Tool. What's
bugged me for years is that AC/BASIC illustrates that the GS IS 
capable of high speed floating point math. I just wish I knew how
they did it (or finished AC/BASIC :) We still make heavy use of
AC/BASIC at work where we need high speed floating point. Two examples
are a data smoothing utility, and a simulation I'
m running of an experimental photochemical reactor. In fact, the later
is running on my GS right next to me here while I pound on a final
report. Speaking of work....back to it :)
