Activate an SYS program with a document attached

In BASIC, we can only use "-" to run SYS programs, and thus can't call
it to open one of its document.  But I heard from someone that there is
a method to run an SYS program with a filename to be opened as its
argument.  Anyone knows it?  For example AW and DOS3.3 Launcher.  For
DOS3.3 Launcher it's the only way to use it.

MLI solution is ok, as I know a little.  But BASIC implementation will
be better.  Thank you.
