Both 6.0 and 6.0.1's SCSI drivers worked OK for me with the old SCSI
card.
I did have a problem, though. With one drive of mine (a partially
faulty Rodime that has a long pause when the SCSI bus is reset) the
drive works fine with the High-speed SCSI card, but with the old SCSI
card it only works properly with the System 5.0.4 drivers. If I use
the 6.0 or 6.0.1 drivers, the boot sequence fails when the drivers are
loaded.
I think this is due to some kind of timeout waiting for a response.
The card worked fine with the other drives I tried (a year old Quantum
and a SyQuest 44MB drive) and the 6.0.1 drivers.

They might work, but I would strongly recommend NOT doing this. There
may be some differences in the driver mechanisms, particularly at the
supervisory level (SCSI Manager). Definitely don't try to use System
6.0's Advanced Disk Utility with the 5.0.4 drivers - use 5.0.4's
instead. Don't mix the 5.0.4 manager with the 6.0 drivers (or vice
versa).

Yes. Use "Easy Update", or a full installation via the "Customize"
button (choose "System 6:Hard Disk or FDHD").
If you have any third-party addons (INITs, etc.) they will be left
alone. Any files supplied with System 5.0.4 that are no longer
required (e.g. CDEV.Init) will be deleted, and most of the other
system files will be replaced with newer versions.
