"Burger" Bill Heineman is a game developer on many different
computer and game platforms. Apparently he's "well known" in many different
circles, but since I do not follow any of the game platforms strongly, I
don't know that for sure. He definitely has programmed for many systems.
He's one of the people who continues to develop GS software, and his software
has always been among the best GS software out.

Among his accomplishments (only listing 'finished' things):

Hardware/Software combo -- SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
development systems for the GS and IBM clones.

Software -- only the ones I can think of...

Bard's Tale I and II GS (including updated versions with auto-mapping
originally done by someone else for 8 bit computers)

Ultima I GS (recently released -- with automapping! Originally done
for the Apple II by Richard Garriott)

Wolf 3D GS (he also did the Mac version just out -- originally by
some other company for IBM clones... _VERY_ roughly
takes ideas from Castle Wolfenstein... though from
			what I've seen of it, it's mostly a name-recognition
			thing)

Crystal Quest GS -- originally done by someone else for the Mac... is equal or superior to the Mac version in all
respects.. Can be bought from BRCC for some dirt cheap
price like $10. It uses stereo in the most 'logical'
way I've ever seen: if something happens on the left
of the screen, the sound comes out the left speaker.
What happens when an occurrance happens on the right
side of the screen is an exercise left for the reader.

Out of this World GS -- GS version of a game available on MANY other
systems.. Did he do the SNES version too?!
				Probably.

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.. likely
other people will add to the list.

Complete tangent -- looking at a server at work (or maybe it was
the sumex-aim ftp site), I saw that Brian Greenstone (another programmer
who did far fewer GS programs, but also very high quality) has done a Mac
version of his original 8 bit Apple II game where you swat bugs with a big
hand!
