Problems with receiving updates to Usenet news with VMS software

Hello!

I use an Apple IIe with proterm 3.1 to access the VAX system at Weber state.

Tonight, while I was on, I apparently hit a key that has stopped all 
updates to myy newsfile.  At least, there haven't been any new articles
for me to read in the last 2 hours or so.  

What I want to know is this:  is there any way to remedy this situation?  I'm
lost as to what I did to cause it in the first place.  Anyone with a possible
solution needs to e-mail it to me, because I may not be able to find it
