ZipGS upgrading questions

I want to know from some of you guys out there who have done the 12.5,
14, and 15mhz upgrades to your Zips if you can do the same with the
lower-end cards?  IE:  use the cache SRAMS that came on a 9/64 or 10/64
and even the 65816 if necessary (since it is also replaced with WD's new
14mhz chip) and upgrade say an 8/16 configuration card to this new speed
using the leftover parts.  I think the 9 and 10mhz cards came from Zip
with 45 ns cache ram, so these parts should be usable to upgrade the older
cards, with a new oscillator of course..?

Please email me some thoughts on this if anyone ought there has either
tried this already or knows if it would work.  Also, I haven't seen the
upgrade FAQ posted in awhile.  Is it still being posted on a regular
basis?
