Thanks for the cabling tip.  I set up my whole GS system again, booted
up with System 5.0.4 and the hard drive worked fine with the Rev C card.
I have absolutely no idea what the problem was.  I recently removed
system 5.0.4 and replaced it with 6.0.  Everything is still working
fine, but sometimes the system crashes, although I have 2176k.  I expect
soon to pick up some more RAM.  Hopefully that will settle some of the
crashing.
