OK, I got Ultima I GS the other day, and have been fiddling around on it with
Block Warden. Here's what I've found so far. All numbers are stored in
hexidecimal, least significant byte first (i.e., $1b5 would be b5 01). All
the numbers seem to be given two bytes' worth of space, even when that seems
unreasonable (for instance, with character attributes)--I'm guessing this is
related to 16-bit registers on the GS in native mode.
In the first block of your character file, you will find:
Hit Points Bytes $6c, $6d
Strength $6e, $6f
Agility $70, $71
Stamina $72, $73
Charisma $74, $75
Wisdom $76, $77
Intelligence $78, $79
Coin $7a, $7b
Food $88, $89
XP $8a, $8b
Any additions are cheerfully welcomed. Enjoy!
