Any ProDOS 8 program that allows the user to define printer codes can
be used without the Epson emulation cartridge.  Proterm is one of
these.  While AW 4 and above have DJs as printer choice, AW 3 (and I
believe those below) can print to the DJs; the user must enter the
appropriate codes in one of the custom printer areas.  There are
several text files that explain how this is done.

Be aware that using the Epson emulation cartridge reduces print
quality substantially - to about what you would get with a dot matrix
printer.  For programs that do not allow the user to define printer
codes, alas it is the only option.
