In a ROM 1 IIgs, you can only put these cards in slot 3.  They need
the "M2B0" signal, which indicates whether main or auxiliary memory is
being accessed.  This signal goes to all slots in a ROM 3 (possibly
excluding slot 7?  My manuals are at home just now).

You could run a wire from the appropriate pin of slot 3 to the card if
you had it in another slot.
