OK, I *finally* managed to get hold of an unenhanced IIe to do a bit of testing
of IISound on, and there are a few problems with the display. A couple are
fairly small, but the problem with the file selection dialogue box could be a
bit more severe. Of course the mousetext looks rather strange too.
So, I am going to try and fix up these problems, and get a new build out
a.s.a.p., with, if not a complete fix, at least a stop-gap solution so that
unenhanced IIe's can at least see what they're loading. :->
In the mean time, I am also working out how I can fit in Michael Mahon's 2:1
ADPCM compression algorithm in with the current loading process, and I am also
going to try and turbo up the loader too. At the moment it moves the snd from
main to auxmem byte by byte, but a new algorithm might be quite an effort. :->
Some time I also have to find out how to read an extended binary floating point
number so that I can finish my Audi-IFF loader-saver. When that happens, I'll
also include a new loading algorithm-chunk to allow a much greater range of
sound frequencies to be loaded. Then for that native .wav loader. Hmmm.. also
have to work on that II+ version! Too busy!! ARGHGHGGHH! Send me money, or
it'll never happen! Register your copy quick!!!
Send money, help keep me programming... help... send money....
