proTERM 3.1 Question with VMS software at school

Hello!!

I have a question:

I recently purchased a 2400 Baud modem over the Internet with which I 
received a copy of Proterm 3.1.  Overall, it works pretty well, but posting
to the UseNet News is a trial.  Does anyone know how I can get the software
to recognize my arrow keys?  I've already tried setting the keyboard to
that of a IIgs, but on my IIe, it really screws things up.
