Well, I got my own answer to this one. I called Vitesse (novel concept, eh?)
It seems the modem is one called "Aspen", in the words of the individual
who answered my call "It's a clone." Unfortunately, that person didn't know
about compatibility with anything other than their Faxination package. I
think I'm going to look for an alternative source for the hardware and just
buy the software portion from Vitesse.
