The GS emulator project is not progressing as far as I know, or if it is, it's
doing so very slowly. I've tested a couple 65816 emulators that looked
fairly promising, but I haven't heard anything about them in a few months.
They were kinda slow as standalone emulators (without any of the hardware
emulation that would be necessary around them) and I think that may have
discouraged the developers some, which is unfortunate because nobody really
expected a realtime GS emulator written in C anyway.
Anyway, even if the 65816 emulator got off the ground, there is still the
whole issue of a backbone shell to control all of the parts of the GS, which
I have seen nothing of in a LOOONG time. Anybody else got some more up-to-date
information? With Christmas break coming up, all of us college students should
have a little free time on our hands... hint hint...
