Modifying the SoundSmith format

Hello all.  I was wondering if a discussion could be opened about modifying
the SoundSmith effects and possibly the rest of the format.
        I think that SoundSmith needs some more effects, preferably easy to
implement, over the original five.  It would be nice if these were
standard.
        Anyone interested?  If so, why not just respond to this post and get
it started.
