The FTA demos are great. Wonderful to look at for about 15 minutes.
Then you say, "well, that was cool, but what now?" and erase the disk.
American as well as other programmers have spent their time on projects
with a more pleasing programmer <-> user time ratio, such as actual
applications rather than things that make you go "oooh." But, if it is
demos you must have, there have been really great demos from outside of
France, from groups such as GS<>IRC, GSUnderground, ECC, GSA, etc.
