Re: Steve Wozniak?

The current edition of Family PC has a one page article which notes that
Woz spends 20 hours a week working with a select group of 5th and 6th
graders to teach them about computers and their uses. He started doing
this several years ago when his own son was that age and it began as an
after school activity for his son and a few others and has grown to its
current level. Woz works from his office in Los Gatos (prettiest area, but
worst smog in the Bay Area) and works with children from two schools in
the Los Gatos district...one is the Liberty School and I forget the other.

According to the article, Woz always knew he'd come this route; i.e.,
first an engineer and then a teacher. He dropped out of Berkeley in '71
but finished his BS in EE in '87 (?) and is now surrounding himselff with
the children regularly. He maintains his practical approach to learning,
understanding, and using computers, while other Steve is still caught up
in the world of corporate politics as CEO of NeXT....
