Hi again, folks! Just want to thank everyone (well, 5 people so far)
for their replies. Just wanted to reply to this one particularly,
since it might be giving some people the wrong idea:

I don't want anyone thinking I'm holding anything against the fellow I was
buying from, Mr. Peter Petar Puskarich (ppuskari@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu).
He intended to send me GSTape, but the disk was blank when I got it.
I thought all it had was an application; I had no idea drivers were
necessary, though I suspected that might be the case.
Anyway, Peter has emailed me a replacement disk with GStape and the drivers.
(I plan on paying the author for a licenced copy; this is just to get me
up and running immediately.) He's been very helpful explaining why my
initial attempt failed. I'm sorry if I've given anyone the idea that he's
been trying to cheat me. I only thought that since he didn't have _first
hand_ experience using the drive with the HS card, I'd ask around.
So far I've bought several things thru the net, including my HS card,
my HD, and now my tape drive. No complaints so far.
Cheers,
