Bad Keyboard
My neighbor's IIgs keyboard is acting up. It sometimes works and
at other times it is erratic. It works fine if plugged into the
other side. Based on info from the net I looked at the five solder
points for the offending plug. They looked fine, however, I still
heated them up enough to melt the solder on pins 1-4. Pin 5 is
quite large and has a ton of good looking solder on it so I didn't
bother.
Having the circuit board out of the case and plugged into the bad
side I can cause it to become erratic by bending the board
slightly. Since I couldn't see any signs of broken traces I
suspect that the female plug on the board is bad. Is there a
source of these plugs? What is the number for the plug?
Any and all help appreciated.
