Re: Load Sound CDev first in 6.0.1 boot
: Well, you can if you have Copy II+ or ProSel. ARRANGE FILES (Sort Directory
: in Copy II+) will ask you for a directory. Do this:
- - - snip - - -
: NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if Copy II+ will mess up the resource
: forks, so I strongly recommend backing up BEFORE doing this, since I haven't
: tried it and can't guarantee success. If Copy II+ doesn't move the files,
: but instead just redoes the directory structure, then there should be no
: problem, but I don't know C2P specs. But it *should* work. :)
: Hope that helps! Remember, backup before you use Copy II+ on it.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T USE >>ANY<< 8-bit program to
manipulate GS/OS files (files with resources, in other words). It will
screw up the directory you are working with, which may, in the long run,
fuck up your ENTIRE hard drive partition.
DO NOT USE COPY II PLUS TO DO WHAT IS MENTIONED ABOVE!!
use a 16-bit application, such as Pro-Sel.
