The IIgs will handle a shell/dial-in (not slip or PPP) account just
fine. Most any external modem will work. Decide on your price/speed
range, and then buy. If used is ok, look in the various forsale
groups. 14.4s are getting pretty inexpensive. Remember, new, budget
14.4s go for $100. Look in a Computer Shopper mag.
My prefered software package is Proterm 3.1. Try Quality Computers
or Other World Computing. About $80.
