The doubt comes because you don't feel that indent, and yet you can't get the unit apart, leaving you wondering if there is still a screw under the label.Another place for screws, in general, is inside battery compartments, so it's always possible (but I suspect unlikely) for a screw to be in the compartment where the mouse ball is. It's accessible since there is usually a "door" that can be removed so you can get the ball out to clean.
