This is what I've done to various electronic devices in the past.
1. Get a can of "cold" from Radio Shack. (Can't remember the
exact name right now. It is used to clean drive heads, etc.)
2. Remove the top of the computer before turning it on.
3. Wait until the problems go away and then spray a burst of
cold on various components to cool them off. The one the
caused the problem is the one you want to replace.
