I too have an extended keyboard and let me tell you that the extended 
functions are useless on a GS. WEll not really, they can be used if you
have finderextentions such as hot keys. If you noticed the lights do not
work either. The only light that works is the caps lock on a Rom 03.
If you want the lights to work then get a Cdev called Keynotifier version
1.2 which is the latest version. This Cdev will let you see the lights go
on when you hit the caps lock key and you can set the other keys to light
up when a certain thing happens such as disk access or system beep. You
set this to what ever you like. The only problem that I have found with it
is that it cryples the access time on the HD. My HDs (all of them) run
at 15ms normaly, when the Cda is enabled they are crypled to 25ns and its
very noticable on my system. So if you do not mind the slowing of your
HD by 10ms then thats what you need.
