IIgs Monitor problem...

I have a Magnavox monitor (Analog RGB circa 1987) connected to my IIgs.
Lately, the screen has occasionally gone blank and then after a couple
of seconds will pop back on. On a couple of these occassions, I had to
gently tap the side of the monitor to get the monitor to 'come back to
life'.

Is this the beginning of the end? Does this sound familiar?

Oh, just looked on the label... its an 8CM515. I recall that this is 
identical to the old Amiga monitor that many people use on IIgs's. I
think that monitor is a 1084?
