Ahh, yes! How can I forget Richard Bennett's program? :-) The
Snail (shareware if I remember correctly) works on only the IIgs
and requires an Apple (rev. C or high speed SCSI) SCSI card.
Really basic too, just like RF's built-in utility.
If you have Apple or RF SCSI, you defintely want to look into GSTape
if you ever wanted more than just raw "volume" backups.

I don't recommend it, but it works ok. People generally use drive mirroring
(with exact same drive), you'd also need a real mirroring SCSI card, to
have instant access to data should one of the drive fails.
Most of us probably can't appreciate tape backups until we have experienced
lost data (and recovered!) once.
