I still find ShellPlay (current version 0.70) the best quality
sound of all available MOD players. Granted MODZap gives you some interesting
graphical representations of the music playing, while SP a flashing cursor,
MZ still gives static, clicking, popping, messing up of effects, etc. I've
also never been too fond of MODZap's graphic displays compared with NTGS
and soniqTracker. So at the moment, ShellPlay with something like Yoshi's
DOCVu CDA gives the most impressive sound & light show IMHO... :-)

Correct, although MODZap 1.0 is forthcoming. Not only will it support
playback of other formats and an editor, but the two drawbacks I mentioned
above will be no more. Ian (and others?) have/will tweaked it to equal
ShellPlay's quality, and I'm slowly getting the new graphics done. The first
release will at least have a new splash screen, eventually I'll get after
completely redesigning the graphic player. My goal is to exceed the quality
of graphics in soniqTracker. I miss seeing graphics like those of the former
FTA or Dave Seah, so I hope to bring some of that back... :)
