Questions like this pop up frequently. I myself need the manuals for a
few Apple II cards.
What would people think of having an ftp site (probably one of the existing
Apple II ftp sites) with lots of hardware manuals? Using a scanner and
OCR software makes converting a manual into text files and GIFs easy.
Legality is an issue but if the manuals are no longer obtainable from the
copyright holder, and if someone looking for a manual owns the relevant
piece of hardware, there's a strong argument for "fair use". Of course,
Alltech and Sun Remarketing still sell most of the Apple-brand manuals.
