I recently had a problem with my floptical drive. I have a RamFast card
and have operated with no problems with the following devices chained in
the given order:
hard drive (no internal termination)
floptical (no internal termination)
tape drive (with internal termination)
Everything worked fine- then one day my system would not recognize my floptical.
When I would place a disk in the floptical drive the drive light would
come on and the drive would spin away - trying to recognize the disk.
After hours of messing around I finally changed the order of my SCSI chain to:
floptical
hard drive
tape drive
and things have been working great since. Why? I don't know.
