*Ha Ha* I haven't got as far as deciding in what form I want to
release the game; frankly, I'm happy to release it as freeware; I
have my day job :-)
Anyway, work towards the game is progressing well. I've almost
completed a simple application for composing music that I hope will
allow me to write music and create sound effects for my game quicker
than if I were to use a program like Soundsmith; chances are I will
release this program for others to play with eventually, but right
now it's lacking in any fancy editing features (my main concern is
getting on with the game :-) Still, I did that in a week, which I'm
happy about.
(For those of you who are interested, the music composition program
is vaguely modelled on SynthLab; it turns your GS keyboard into a
musical keyboard, and allows you to record and playback music in
real time. The emphasis is on minimal use of CPU time for playing
back the music, so that it can be incorporated into games that require
most of the CPU to be dedicated to manipulating graphics. I'm considering
making the output of the program compatible with SoundSmith--eventually).

I'm sure that would be really nice!
