Speaking of lurkers, it's time for me to put my $0.02 into this fire.

I am certainly NOT offended by Ian's flaming. It would be different if Ian
didn't actually KNOW Jawaid. This is not your typical "I misunderstood
something you said so I'm going to call your mother a whore" flame war going
on. There are several issues involved that, frankly, most of you have no
business knowing about, but there is a need for some of this to be made
public. Hence, Ian's postings. Score 0/10 for tact, but...

The excuses flying around here that Jawaid is too busy working on the SS card
to pay attention to the rest of the world are making me sick. I will agree
that recently his time has been dominated by his work at SS. However! Long
before SS was even conceptualized, Jawaid had a problem with declining interest
in the GNO project which ultimately lead to reduced support in terms of bug
fixes, new features, etc. This SS card is just a convenient icon that somebody
started using in Jawaid's defense here, and it just doesn't apply.

I don't want him to drop everything he is doing to add a few kernel features,
but I DO expect that he allocates time to respond to MY requests for GNO
features. Yes, I AM special, Jawaid and I are supposed to have some form of
agreement about GNO supporting my TCP/IP software. I can see from the events
that have transpired in the past months that it is going to be necessary to
formalize this.

I get more than a little peaved when I call Jawaid several times to ask him
for some changes when he is doing nothing more than smoking, showering,
eating, making runs to the grocery store, and reading news for an entire day,
and nothing gets done. Fine, he needs his leisure time. But he could at
least be straight with me and give me realistic estimations of his schedule,
etc., rather than just blowing me of from phone call to phone call. "Oh,
I'll be on-line in a few minutes and we can talk more then."

This professional courtesy is what I expect from Jawaid, and I never get it.

More to come, I'm sure...
