imagemwriter ][ on ibm compatible?

I am currently using an Apple][gs along with an Imagwriter ][ printer.  However,
I am planning a purchase of an IBM compatible computer within the next 3 to 4 
months. What I am wanting to know is whether or not my printer will work on 
these other machines or not. It is obvious I would need at least a parallel to
serial cable, but other than this, I haven't a clue whether it will work or not.
