I need help on apple SCSSI

Hi all!
I've got serous problems here in brazil...... Im one of the only apple IIgs user
here in an country that has gone all IBM, I've reacently purchased an winchester and
severall programs To boost my gs. The problem is that I Also got an adpoter for me
to use my old appleII+ drives, but did it incorectly, so ....... I busted all my
drives + the drive port.... dont know if anything else went, the gs system test
tests ok. but the port has had it bad. The gs is working ok with an 5 1/4 disk II card.
so I've got something like an super IIE.
Is anything I can do? will I have to change my whole motherbord? What would happen
if I got my self an Scssi card? could I bypass the drive port with it, maiking a new
dasychane? Help!!!!! The worst of all is that the only guys that fix apples here
can't fix my gs for they don't have its circuit map, that way they also can't tell
me if there's anything else busted. (if someone could send me that map It would
shurlly help!!!) I don't know anymore what to do, Coustums here are verry
perticullar about computer products, things here are hevelly taxed. I don't know if
it woulkd be worth taking my computer to the USA, I miite not be able to bring it
back. So pleasee anyone give me some clue, any clue.
