Weird. Sounds like it might be a drive problem. ProDOS versions up to v1.9
require 64kb of RAM and would run on a 64k ][+, later versions required an
enhanced IIe or later (I think they just need the 65c02), but the error you
get when you try to boot later version of ProDOS on an unehanced machine you
get a message telling you you need an enhanced II. You might try booting the
disks on another computer to see if it's the disks that are bad.
